Welcome to Bailey Middle School

The facade of a redbrick middle school building.

Dr. Jim Murrell, Principal:

Good things are happening at Bailey Middle School. We have been selected to represent the school district as a Technology Demonstration School. We have the latest in instructional technology to assist our teachers in leading the way towards high achievement.

We have a greater impact on learning due to smaller class sizes. Our focus is on providing a rigorous academic environment that challenges all students. Some students enter the 9th grade with as many as four high school credits from Bailey.

So that truly no child is "left behind," we provide tutoring and counseling for those students that are struggling. Some interventions include the Algebraic Thinking Program, which assists students in problem solving. Special reading programs are in place to assist our developing readers.

We believe that “Knowledge is Power!”

Dr. Jim Murrell
